The 2012 phenomenon is a popularized New Age Doomsday belief that says a cataclysmic, transformative event will occur on December 21, 2012, said to be the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mayan Long Count calendar. However, Christian's know that the only cataclysmic, transformative event that modern man can look forward to with certainty is seen in Mark 13:26,27 which describes the time when "...men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens."
